Milena Malev serves as General Manager of Financial Services and Insurance at CoreLogic Asia Pacific, leading the business strategy and growth for CoreLogic’s banking and insurance solutions.
In this role, Milena leverages her 20 years of deep banking and financial industry expertise to lead the company’s strategic initiatives that best position CoreLogic for revenue growth, innovation and great customer experience. Her experience encompasses P&L management, credit risk management, digitisation and commercialisation of solutions via use of data, platforms an analytics, and complex business transformation across Consumer Banking, Insurance and Wealth Management.
Prior to joining CoreLogic, Milena spent over 8 years at ANZ in a variety of roles including Head of Retirement Solutions and Head of General Insurance and Consumer Credit Insurance. She was responsible for P&L, strategic partnership management, business strategy and execution. She also headed the portfolio strategy team in the ANZ Lenders Mortgage Insurance business, where she led customer segmentation strategy, pricing and reinsurance strategy, as well as led the Comprehensive Credit Reporting program, and developed the credit decisioning platform at ANZ. Prior to being with ANZ, Milena worked at Westpac Group on many credit risk transformation initiatives and spent 5 years at Veda Advantage (Equifax) consulting financial services on credit risk and value based decisioning.
Milena’s passion for data, technology and analytics has helped drive successful outcomes for businesses and consumers, particularly around digitisation, effective risk management, and revenue growth.
Being an active participant in the banking and finance community, Milena is a frequent presenter, moderator and panellist at industry events.
Her personal passion for financial literacy for women inspired the popular CoreLogic Women and Property research. This research report has proven valuable in inspiring industry and government attention on the overall gender home ownership gap and how banking industry can play a role in helping women to build wealth.
Milena is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and holds an MBA and Masters in Computer and Mathematical Sciences (majoring in Statistics).
