About This Project
The Council is seeking submissions from suitably qualified Consultants to undertake the relevant work to develop a Main Street Public Realm Master Plan for Gawler St, Mount Barker. The key purpose of the project is to: a) Understand the current physical & operational function of Gawler St; b) Identify critical elements that will further enhance the business success & customer experience in Gawler St; c) Understand the current & future trends of Main Streets design & functionality; d) Produce a Main Street Public Realm Master Plan based on sound theory & innovation; e) Establish a design & materials palate, which can be replicated throughout other areas of the Town Centre; f) Continue to build the relationship between Council & the Gawler St traders & to encourage greater cross-collaboration between business; & g) Provide recommendations to Council based on the above.
