About This Project

Internal and external upgrade works to Level 7 of the Parliament House. The proposed development relates specifically to level 7 which comprises a variety of rooms including members rooms, meeting rooms, reception rooms, special purpose rooms and multi-function rooms. The proposed works are generally confined to the north-eastern portion of level 7. Internal works comprise demolition of internal partition & structural walls within the existing Members Bar, Former Members Lounge, Waratah Room and Room 713A. Construction of new internal partition walls, high-level glazing and internal fitout works to create a new seminar space, meeting room, office and storerooms. Installation of 2 new windows in the north-eastern building elevation. Application of new cladding to 2 external columns forming part of the north-eastern building elevation. Application of silver mirror finishes to the existing lift lobby. External works comprise removal of existing barriers to garden and installation of new fencing to garden; removal of all existing planting and new planting within existing flower bed; installation of a new gate and stairs with platform to access garden; installation of a new horizontal intake air grille to soffit.
