About This Project

Reconstruction of the existing boat ramp. Design & construct a floating walkway including abutment, restraint piles & floatation modules. Scope of work includes: widening the space for the car-trailer turning area at the head of the ramp. Addition a 2.5m wide floating walkway support lane without destabilising the slope stability of the downstream side batter. Installation of a new heavy duty floating walkway without compromising the number of lanes; due to the likelihood of high flood velocities it is anticipated at least five piles including an end pile may be required in this location. Necessary modifications to the kerbs and traffic islands. The upstream side rock revetment should be further strengthened but no widening will be possible due to the high flood velocities closer to the southern bank
