Alterations & additions to the existing 2 storey building. Ground floor - Banking spaces will be fitted out as interpretive exhibition space spaces & a retail shop. Upgrade of the amenities & the existing cafe within the rear wing (former servant's quarters) to include enclosure of the current outdoor roofed space. Addition of the new accessible to include ramp, lift & fire stair. The rear verandah is to be returned back to original detail with balustrades & detailing reinstated. Upper floor - Original banking residence will be fitted out as education (incubation) spaces for creative arts programs. Upgrade of amenities & an additional fire isolated escape stair & new lift. Attic roof - Additional writer in residence accommodation to include a bedroom & ensuite bathroom. Fit out of the existing roof space between the trusses & construction of a new lantern to the south west side of the building. Additional storage space will also be created within the roof volume. Removal of non-original stairs, partition wall, later fibre partition, later handrails, recent ramp, non-original infill, original shelving, cupboards, 1955 fibre cement & window infill & modify existing door to create new fire door (remove existing french doors & securely store on site in attic space infill part of existing opening to for new fire door). Form new opening & new pass-out opening. Removal all existing internal applied floor finished & make good floor surface under for new flooring specification. Seal & make flush any redundant floor penetrations. Demolish existing walls, doors, windows, joinery. fixtures/fittings as indicated. Aluminium framed glazing installed, timber batten screens, painted fibre cement cladding, new roof structure over face external area.
