The latest data collected for CoreLogic’s preliminary auctions results show of the 91 properties taken to auction across the nation, 45 are indicated as sold, providing a clearance rate of 49% in this reporting period.
On a state by state basis, Victoria recorded the highest number of auctions held, with 56 properties offered for sale. Whilst New South Wales achieved the highest clearance rate at 56%.
Retail properties accounted for 53% of reported sales followed by industrial properties reported at 36% of the total properties sold.
New South Wales recorded the highest sale this reporting period. Considered a prime CBD fringe property, the Shell petrol station at 867 – 877 South Dowling St in Waterloo is reported as sold at auction on 21st Nov 2018 for almost $13M.
