The latest research from Eastern Sydney Cityscope shows property sales values have increased in the past three months. Sales recorded in the quarter to October 2018 totalled $162.7 million, an increase from the $137.3 million recorded in the quarter to July 2018 but a decrease from the $260.4 million recorded in the quarter to April 2018. 

This data brings the 12 month total to $828.8 million, an increase from the $784.3 million recorded the same time last year.

Notable sales listed in the October 2018 update of Eastern Sydney Cityscope include: 

  • A 50% interest in 84-86 Mary Street, Surry Hills, a five-storey brick retail and commercial building with basement parking for 31 cars, was bought for $28 million; 
  • The former Palace Academy Cinema at 1-11 Oxford Street, Paddington, a three-storey concrete building with ground level retail space and offices on the first and second levels and a building area of 2,627 sqm, was bought for $23 million and 
  • 111-117 Devonshire Street, Surry Hills, a seven-storey commercial building with a building area of 2,085 sqm and a site area of 405 sqm, was bought for $21.2 million through CBRE (Sydney).

Properties listed as for sale in the October 2018 update of Eastern Sydney Cityscope include: 

  • Gordon House at 74-78 Wentworth Avenue, Surry Hills, a five-storey brick commercial building with retail on the ground floor and a building area of 3,154 sqm, available through Knight Frank Sydney and Karbon Property Sydney; 
  • 203 Oxford Street, Bondi Junction, a two-storey retail and commercial building on a site area of 202 sqm, available through Krulis Commercial Bondi Junction and 
  • 10 Oxford Street, Woollahra, a 2-storey terrace building with a net lettable area of 140 sqm on a site of 95 sqm, available through Colliers International Sydney.

 

Leasing opportunities listed in the October 2018 update of Eastern Sydney Cityscope include:

  • 120-124 Chalmers Street, Surry Hills, a three-storey brick commercial building with a rear lane access with eight car spaces, which has office space of 194 to 1,058 sqm available for lease through JLL Sydney; 
  • 140 William Street, Woolloomooloo, a 10-storey office building with basement car parking, which has office space ranging from 80 to 678 sqm available for lease through LJ Hooker Commercial South Sydney and
  • Susan House at 80 Wentworth Avenue, Surry Hills, a five-storey brick commercial building with ground floor retail and offices on upper levels which has retail space of 80 to 260 sqm available for lease through DB Property - Surry Hills.
