As the Sydney commercial market shows no sign of slowing down, Cassa Commerciale House at 73 York Street, Sydney has been sold for $22.5 million; it last traded four years ago for just $8.1 million. The vendor, 73 York Street Pty Ltd, is a private company which is owned by companies associated Allan Fife of Kirribilli, Kevin Slomoi of Caulfield North, Norman Metz of Kew, Sydney Kahn of Caulfield South and Loren Datt of Caulfield South.

The five-storey office building was built circa 1890 and includes a bar and restaurant at street level and upper level tenants such as boutique immigration law firm, Christopher Levingston & Associates and technology company, Enboarder.

The purchaser is reported as being the buyer of another York Street property, Pacvale Pty Ltd, which is owned by David and Violet Sin of Hong Kong.

Sydney Cityscope reports that Pacvale purchased 20 York Street in December 2017. This four-storey building was built circa 1876 and comprises 300 sqm of retail space in the basement, 400 sqm of ground floor retail space and 1,350 sqm of office space. It was purchased for $30.7 million in December 2017 after having last traded at $13 million three years earlier.
