Trophy Asset For Sale

A ‘strategic trophy Sydney investment’ has been placed on the market through Stonebridge Property and JLL Sydney.

The Mandarin Centre at 65 Albert Avenue, Chatswood is for sale by expressions of interest closing Wednesday, August 24th 2022.

The Mandarin Centre is a five-level, 11,483 sqm retail/leisure building which was completed January 1996 at a cost of $55m. The building originally comprised club premises on the top two floors (intended as the new Mandarin Club) and now has a rooftop sports club, an eight-screen Hoyts cinema on one floor, an Asian and international food court, 26 shops and a bowling alley. The three retail levels total 5,370 sqm and there is car parking for 300 vehicles. Tenants include Daiso Japan, Hoyts, Strike Bowling and Holy Moly Mini Golf.

The property comes with development approval for a 15-storey commercial tower and State Government Masterplan approval for a mixed-use building of twenty-seven levels. It last traded at $26 million in October 2002.
