Cotality Australia today launched a new sustainability-focused podcast series, offering Australians an engaging and insightful look into how climate change is already transforming the property landscape.
Hosted as a limited three-part series under Cotality’s flagship podcast Beyond the Buildings, it unpacks the intersection of climate science, data and property.
Each episode will explore real-world stories and expert insights on topics including natural disasters and energy efficiency.
Cotality’s Head of Research, Eliza Owen, who also serves as the show's host, said the podcast is designed to spark informed conversations in the industry and beyond.
“Climate change isn’t just a future threat, it’s already reshaping how Australians buy, insure and invest in property. Through this series, we want to equip listeners with the insights they need to adapt and thrive,” Ms Owen said.
The new series aims to reach a wide audience, including real estate professionals, investors, government stakeholders and everyday homeowners.
With expert guests drawn from across insurance, banking and sustainability, each episode highlights the role property owners can play in creating a more resilient built environment.
Cotality’s Head of Communications for Australia and New Zealand, Andrew Barclay, said the podcast reinforces the company’s commitment to innovation with impact.
“At Cotality, we believe better data leads to better decisions – especially when it comes to tackling big challenges like climate resilience. This series is about helping people make sense of that data in practical and powerful ways,” Mr Barclay said.
A new episode will be released each fortnight on a Thursday from 19 June.
- Episode 1 – Thursday 19 June: When nature hits home
- Episode 2 – July 3: Energy, efficiency, and the new value equation
- Episode 3 – July 17: Global perspectives
The time-limited podcast launches Thursday, 19 June 2025 and will be available via Spotify, Apple Podcasts and the Cotality website.
