Works to include the construction of a beach side pool at Scarborough Beach comprising of eight 50-metre lanes along with four 25-metre lanes with multiple configuration options and depth from 1.2- 2.2 metres, separate leisure pool for fun & learning to swim, geothermally-heated to 27°C (lap pool) and 32°C (leisure pool) year-round, 200-seat grandstand & spectator areas for competition viewing and relaxing, a spacious surrounding promenade with open-air seating areas & 600m² of space for future entertainment outlets, a large kiosk open to pool users & beachgoers, adjoining recreation areas with shaded areas & family-friendly zones & night-time use with extensive lighting.
