About This Project

The Resource Recovery redevelopment project comprises a transfer station, food & organics facility, weighbridges. Minor upgrade to the existing Revolve Centre, staff facilities & associated works. Civil works, landscape & access works. Relocation of gas flaring infrastructure. The proposal includes the following: Earthworks; Upgrade internal road network and reconfigure entry intersection, including relocation of traffic routes and upgrades and relocation of weighbridges. Reorientation of the revolve centre and associated visitor carparking. Relocation and reorganisation of the Transfer Facility, including the construction of a covered shallow 'push pit' and a front resource recovery area. Introduction of the tunnel composting Food Organics and Green Organics (FOGO) and associated biofilter. Relocation of staff and office facilities, carparking and operational equipment and storage repair areas. Staff offices & facilities building would comprise a footprint of approx 200sq m to include offices & staff amenities, change rooms, kitchenette/tea room, office space, meeting room & educational training facility. Storage area with footprint of approx 1,500sq m. Relocation of the existing leachate storage areas (existing ponds) from EPL 12903 and EPL 5984 and inclusion of storm water storage tanks on-site, integrated storm-water management system. Expansion and reconfiguration of the existing composting facility works, including improved sorting, maturation and pick-up areas. Relocation of gas flare. Relocation and extension of existing facilities. Concrete & colorbond walls, aluminium framed doors, steel support structure, colorbond gutters & downpipes, colorbond roof. Selected tree removal and boundary screen landscaping.
