About This Project


Demolition of existing building, excavation and construction of an apartment block consisting of (19) three storey dwellings containing a mix of (1) bedroom plus study and (2) bedroom apartments with balconies, single car space and roof garden deck. It will also have (26) basement car parking, bicycle storage areas, storage areas and a lift. The dwellings will be constructed in two modules. The modules will be attached via the use of a central lift and stairwell at the front. A 1.8 metre high rendered block fence will be built across the front of the building and steel auto gates installed. It will also have an energy efficient design with the retention of significant stands of vegetation and will be replanted to consist of 100% locally indegenous species. External colours will be non reflective. WSUD principles are to be incorporated and will include on-site stormwater detention, rain water tanks, stormwater harvesting, re-use of stormwater for garden watering and toilet flushing etc and on-site bio-treatment to reduce contaminants. Materials used for construction will be brick, metal cladding, natural steel ballustrades, clear glass ballustrades, folded steel facades, stained timber screening, stained timber cladding, aluminium window frames, rendered finish to concrete block, and metal cladding.
