The ground floor work includes restoration of the original features of the building, a main entry point at the King St entry, reception lobby area & a secure cash handling point partitioned from the main lobby by a 2.5m high toughened glass partition, new staircase to the basement, demolition of existing stairs at the eastern side & replacement with a platform lift. Level 1 refurbishment includes staff offices, formal dining room with bar, tea preparation room with lounge area, toilet facilities, new wall to enclose open cash room, restoration of the original fire places & stairs. Level 2 work includes staff & executive offices, restoration & modifications to the existing toilet facilities & balcony. External & roof work includes new enclosed maintenance stairs, a new lift overrun, replacement of the existing metal roof sheeting & a new door to the Mark Ln service area.
