About This Project

The Principal invites tenders for the design, supply, construct, commission & maintenance of electric vehicle chargers & demand management system in Council operated car parks. Stage 1 - Design & Pilot - UPark Electric Vehicle Charging System: In close consultation with Councils internal Electric Vehicles Working Group, the contractor will design, supply, construct, commission & maintain electric vehicle charging infrastructure & demand management system until 30 June 2020 involving: 1) An Internal combustion Engine (IEC) to Electric Vehicle (EV) Parking System (ICE to EV Parking System) built upon Councils existing Schneider StruxureWare Power Monitoring Expert (SPME) software platform. 2) A total of thirty (30) alternating current (AC) Level 2 type electric vehicle chargers installed by 30 June 2017 that are interfaced with the ICE to EV Parking System, in the following locations: a) Ten AC Level 2 type electric vehicle chargers in the Central Market UPark for casual users located within 50 metres of the main electrical service room; b) Ten AC Level 2 type electric vehicle chargers for casual users distributed in banks of two or four across the Grote, Wyatt, Pirie, Rundle & Topham UPark car parks on mid to upper levels adjacent to services core; & c) Ten AC Level 2 electric vehicle chargers assigned to permanent reserved parking bays, distributed across the Grote, Wyatt, Pirie, Rundle & Topham UPark car parks. 3) Parking space occupancy sensors & visual indicators interfaced with the ICE to EV Parking System in the Central Market UPark. The Contractor will be required to collate & provide relevant system information & performance data to Council nominated contractor to enable an independent performance evaluation of the system in FY2017/18.
