The latest research from Chatswood Cityscope shows that commercial property sales in the areas covered by it have decreased dramatically in total sales value (mainly due to the transaction of the Zenith Centre in the June 2019 quarter). For the quarter to September 2019 there were 17 sales at a total sales value of $97.4 million, compared to the 15 sales at a total value of $455.8 million for the previous quarter. The yearly figures have decreased, with 73 sales at a total value of $962.8 million for the twelve months to September 2019, compared to the 89 sales at a total value of $1.174 billion for the previous year.

Notable sales in the September 2019 update of Chatswood Cityscope include:

  • Vacant land at 3 Broadcast Way, Artarmon
    With current development approval for the construction of a high technology industrial building for use as a purpose built data centre, which was bought for $29 million through GJS Property and Knight Frank North Sydney;
  • A 2-storey motor showroom at 395 Pacific Highway, Artarmon
    Completed in mid 2005 on a site area of 1,157 sqm, which was bought for $16 million and
  • 60-64 Dickson Avenue, Artarmon
    A 4-storey childcare centre for 149 children, built above the ground floor car parking for 30 vehicles on a site area of 1,056 sqm, which was bought for $14.8 million through Peritus Childcare Sales. The sale represented an initial yield of 7.00% on passing income of $1,036,000.
