The latest research from Macquarie Park Cityscope shows property sales for the three months to February 2019 have increased significantly from the preceding quarter, largely due to the sale of 7-11 Talavera Road in Macquarie Park.

Sales recorded in the quarter ending February 2019 totalled $396.9 million, a big increase from the $27.9 million recorded in the three months to November 2018 and the $53.3 million recorded in the three months to August 2018.

For the year ending February 2019, there were 55 sales at a total value of $533.3 million, compared to 87 sales at a total value of $2.188 billion for the previous year.

Notable sales in the February 2019 update of Macquarie Park Cityscope include:

  • 7-11 Talavera Road, Macquarie Park 
    Part of DP Office Park, consisting of Building A, Compuware Centre, a 4-storey commercial building with 3 office levels over ground floor parking, completed in November 2000, Building B, the Nielsen Centre, an 8-level commercial building with 5 levels of offices above ground floor and two basement levels of parking; completed in July 2001 and a 2-storey retail building towards the north-eastern corner of the property, which was conditionally sold for $231.2 million with settlement to occur in late June 2019;
  • 12-14 Birnie Avenue, Lidcombe 
    A 31,500 sqm site with two high-clearance warehouses with loading docks and on-grade parking, which was bought for $80 million and
  • Concord House at 15-17 Blaxland Road, Rhodes
    A three-level brick and concrete commercial building with four retail units on the ground floor and thirty undercover car spaces, completed in 1994, which was bought for $28.82 million.
