The latest research from Macquarie Park Cityscope shows property sales for the three months to August 2019 have increased significantly from the preceding quarter.

Sales recorded in the quarter ending August 2019 totalled $152.4 million, an increase from the $43.9 million recorded in the three months to May 2019 and a decrease from the $396.9 million recorded in the three months to February 2019.

For the year ending August 2019, there were 92 sales at a total value of $621.1 million, compared to 65 sales at a total value of $490.4 million for the previous year.

Notable sales in the August 2019 update of Macquarie Park Cityscope include:

  • Macquarie Technology Park at 40 Talavera Road
    A complex of single and two-storey buildings with offices, high-clearance warehouses and on site parking for 314 vehicles. The oldest parts of the complex were completed in 1974, and the newest building completed in 1990, comprises two office floors and two levels of parking on ground and level one. Extensively refurbished at $8 million in 2003 with a net lettable area of 13,051 on a 25,030 sqm block, which was sold for $67.25 million;
  • 7 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park
    A five-storey commercial building with retail spaces on the ground floor and 2 levels of basement car parking was completed in late 2012 with a building area of 5,931 sqm and typical floor of 1,054 sqm on a 1,172 sqm site, was bought for $46.2 million; and
  • 11-13 Rhodes Street, West Ryde
    A 2-storey building to the front and high-clearance warehouses to the rear with a building area of 2,369 sqm on a 4,040 sqm site, was bought for $7.9 million.
