The preliminary clearance rate of 54.6 per cent last week is lower than both the clearance over the previous week (65.5 per cent) and at the same time last year, when 65.5 per cent of auctions cleared.  There were 44 reported commercial auctions last week, an increase from the previous week’s 29 reported auctions.  At the same time last year there were 64 commercial auctions held.  Over the four weeks ending 29 July 2016 there were 141 reported commercial auctions with 74 selling, 55 of those sold have been reported with a sale price, which totals just over $183.6 million.
